GWATFL DCPS Collaborative
Biography
Chiara is an Italian mom, teacher, gourmand and self-care enthusiast. She has taught in the greater DC area since 2007, and landed at Hardy MS in 2012, after giving birth to her first child. Mothering and teaching in a foreign country put so much stress on her life that she was not prepared to handle, and she became ill. Once recovered, Chiara embarked on a journey of self discovery that encompasses every aspect of her life. The journey is still happening to this day.
Chiara is a Selfcarefully™ certified expert, holds a Master of Science in Teaching Italian Language and Culture, a Master of Science in Education Program, and a Masters in Mediation and Conflict Resolution. She is also the recipient of multiple awards, including the DCPS 2021 World Language Teacher of the Year, and the Global Programs Copeland Award for Teacher of the Year in 2020."
