Digital Multimedia & Storytelling
Luis Deocares, National Cathedral School
Spanish
Digital stories empower language learners to express themselves, collaborate and share their work using their own voice, texts, photographs, drawings, and video. This presentation explores projects that integrate digital multimedia, with an emphasis on storytelling. Examples of fotonovela-style stories, music videos, short movies, and animated poems will be shared.
Projects are novice to intermediate levels, from 7th and 8th grade Spanish students and can be adapted to a wide range of levels and ages. Examples of tasks in the three modes of communication are given. Also, an overview of software and apps, as well as the process and workflow for some projects will be provided.
