Engaging Thematic Units to Immerse Students in The Target Language Spanish Karen Adamson and Trish Heatherman, Maret School
Throughout the content-based FLES program, we have developed engaging thematic units in the elementary school to immerse students in the target language. We integrate content learning with language development via activities where topics sometimes come from the regular curriculum content areas (i.e., social studies, science), so that language is acquired in a meaningful context.
